AA Visiting School Sydney: For the term of your natural life was a 10-day intensive elective studio for masters students, taught in January 2022 at the University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning in partnership with the Architectural Association School of Architecture. The studio challenged students to examine the specific forces shaping Sydney and its surroundings, an area dangerously exposed to the effects of climate change, before speculating on new forms of agency for architects and designers. The starting point for this examination was bushfire, which occurred with extraordinary ferocity across the south-east of Australia during the Black Summer of 2019/2020.
